A Colourful End to Summer at Adene’s Flower Farm

As summer slowly comes to a close, I took a much-needed day out at the stunning Adene’s Flower Farm at The Big Red Barn. It was one of those beautifully grounding experiences where nature, colour, and creativity come together in the most effortless way.

Walking through the flower fields felt like stepping into a living palette. The blooms were absolutely magnificent — overflowing with texture, fragrance, and the most inspiring mix of colours. It reminded me just how deeply nature influences my jewellery designs, from soft tones to bold, expressive combinations.

After flower picking, I met up with friends and we settled in for a relaxed afternoon together. I had packed waters and snacks so we could sit, chat, and enjoy the surroundings without rushing. There was something so simple and special about slowing down, laughing, and just being present in such a beautiful space.

At some point, I couldn’t help but smile when I realised there was a very clear theme to the day — pink everywhere! From my pink Fieldbar to my Elizabeth Summer cooler bag adorned with a playful pink lobster, and of course my own pink earrings, it felt like all my favourite things had quietly come together.

It was the perfect way to close off the summer season — surrounded by flowers, friendship, and colour. A reminder that inspiration often comes from the simplest moments, and that beauty is always found when you take the time to notice it.
